Organizing the 'lid drawer'?

How would you go about this?
I can do some basic carpentry so that's something I may try. Some dowels to stack the ones with straw holes, a few dividers to keep the cup lids apart from the screw tops and ???

Sounds like you have a lot more drawers than I do if this is a problem!

(I leave all my lids on the things they go with.)

No help here. I mainly use 8, 16 and 32 oz prep cups and flat black to go containers. All held, with lids, in the same cabinet.

I hate playing the Gladware Match Game. I had some deli containers, and I think I'm going to buy some more and just use those going forward.

I got frustrated and pitched all our cheap containers and non-matching lids from three different manufacturers in the donate-to-Goodwill pile, and now we only buy these, and they're awesome. Dishwasher and microwave safe.

I did the exact same thing a couple months ago. The lids on those don't exactly stack well together, especially if you have a bunch. Overall pleased with them though. One of the latches on the lid was broken on mine, but Rubbermaid shipped me a small set to replace it!

About 5 years ago we went all Pyrex. It's been terrific. Lids are great. We've had one crack and I accidentally melted one. I've been able to find Pyrex lid replacements so that hasn't even been an issue.

They microwave great, come out of the dishwasher clean and dry, and don't stain or crack. Terrific all around.

That's what I did as well. I have a steam oven for reheating so the ability to take something straight out of fridge to oven to dishwasher is huge.

I presume your lids are plastic or do you have Pyrex material lids as well?!?

yes, plastic lids.

I do have a few Corning wear pieces with glass tops, but those rarely get used.
