Ate this as a kid. Grandmother made it. All I remember is it was creamy, crisp with breadcrumbs. Secret was my grandmother would put a whole stick of butter on top. Any recipes yall may have?

I'm a fan of this recipe that I've been using probably 30 years.

Hard to beat the one above. Been making it for Thanksgiving for a very long time.

Man, I ate these all the time as a kid. It's probably been 25 years since I've had it.

While not what you're asking for, an alternative to never ending mounds of cream, cheese, and squash, is to season like your fajita peppers and onions and grill diced in cubes of zucchini and summer squash. We also cube and toss with oil, cubed sweet potatoes and zucchini and Tony Chachere.

Summers on the farm meant a lot of squash and zucchini so we tried to find other dishes.

This is great, Threadgills (obligatory RIP) was my favorite squash dish ever from a restaurant (2nd to Black Eyed Pea's squash casserole) so I'm definitely going to try this out
