Disagree on it not being a great food town. I think it's hard to find a bad meal. A few of my favorites:

Burgers/American: Empire Burger, Flipside, Canteen
Italian/Pizza: Giampietro's, Michael's, Luigi's
Breakfast: Breckfast, Blue Moose, Columbine Cafe, Cool River Cafe (love it for Huckleberry coffee, pastries, bagel sandwiches), La Francaise, Crown
Fancy: Aurum, Twist, Ember, Relish, Hearthstone (steak)

Repeating La Francaise for breakfast... our favorite and we usually go a few times each year. I love the goat cheese, bacon, ham and tomato omelet! Occasionally I will have them place it on a freshly bakes baguette to make a great sandwich.

Yes, it's one of my favorite places in all of CO. Not much too it, but good beer and sausages in their nice little downtown area.

Hard to beat butterhorn for breakfast across the street.

We have been 3 times. Our favorites are:

Briar Rose (steak)
Fatty's Pizzeria (went there twice this last trip in February)
Downstairs at Eric's (lunch)
Blue Moose (breakfast)

Dillon Dam in Dillon is always a stop for us too.
