Merry Christmas, everyone.

For those of you with ceramic heat deflectors, do you ever replace them? I've had mine for over ten years (Primo) but never covered them with aluminum foil. So, they are "dirty" and super greasy from all the use, should I replace them? If I should replace them, should I wrap the new ones with foil?

TIA

Never replaced or foiled mine. You can clean it to factory white by putting it over lava level lump n

No need to replace. You just get them hot as heck for 20-30 minutes and flip and another 20-30 min. Needs to be over 500 degrees but 700-800 works great.

I just scrape off any residue and then flip them over for the next cook. If they're getting too greasy maybe use a drip pan for fatty meats?
