I have a small 15" wide wine fridge that I bought about 7 years ago on Amazon for probably about $400-500. It stopped cooling recently. It uses a compressor for cooling.

I am assuming its not worth trying to fix it and I should instead just buy a replacement wine fridge? Does anyone have experience with wine fridge repairs that would say its worth my time/effort/money to try and fix it first?

I mean it's "probably" worth the time and effort to fix.... or UPGRADE TIME!!

If you're anywhere near Austin, I have a 32 bottle Danby unit that I am willing to part with. I upgraded to a bigger chiller and no longer need it.

These small fridges work with a fraction system compressor, and they are disposable. It is not worth the time and parts to fix. When these units go down move on and replace it.

This. More often than not this is the case. Unless you have HVAC experience (including replacing compressors), it may be best to go with a replacement unit.

I have a larger wine fridge that stopped cooling a few years ago, unit was 7 years old at the time. I emailed Wine Enthusiast (who I bought it from) and after a couple email exchanges they suggested I replace the power pcb for $9.99. No issues since.

Already bought a replacement. If you want the broken one to try to fix, its all yours. PM me and I will get you my address.
