If you like pickles and havent had McClure's, you need to. They're pricey approaching $10/jar, but this is one indulgence I find to be worth it.

Question - when I finish a jar, can i put cucumbers in the leftover juice and then they'll become pickles after a few days?

I do this with jalapeños all the time (adding fresh ones to the jar and topping off with white vinegar) so I think it would work in theory but the cucumbers being much more massive (size and density vs jalapeno slices) it would take longer and the flavor probably won't be as strong as the original batch.

Claussen are the best store bought. Crunchy and not a touch a sweetness.

My go to, but I'll be giving the others a try. That salt water brine hits the spot.

I buy the Grillo's slices at Costco. Same for Famous Dave's Sweet N Spicy but don't get them as often. And we always have 3 varieties of Best Maids around: Spicy Baby Koshers, Fresh Pack Hamburger Slices in Sea Salt, and Regular Dills. Added bonus is they are a Texas company.

Huge fan o f grillos, pickles & McClure's.

But these are hands down the best store bought pickles for BBQ. They have slices, spears and whole dill pickles. They've been around about a year whenever HEB got into the BBQ business. You're welcome !

For my money, these are the best pickles in the world. And I've convinced about a dozen people of this after offering them one.

I'd think you'd need to heat the brine to properly suffuse the cucumbers with the flavor. If you leave the cucumbers in just the brine in the fridge for a month, they'll absorb the flavor, but can you wait that long? I don't think a few days is long enough.

The Hill Country ones listed above are my go to favorite pickles. They are expensive but worth it. I get them from Granzins in NB. They remind me of the homemade ones my German neighbor would make us growing up.

You can probably reuse brine once or twice. But every time you take out a pickle, you are taking out a little brine. And every time you add a cucumber, you add water. So your salinity and acidity should be dropping the more you reuse it.
