Is this just a New Orleans version of ramen?

Sliced stewed beef served in a beef broth with wheat noodles, half a hard boiled egg, green onions, and Creole/Cajun seasoning sounds a lot like ramen with a local flair to me.

From what I understand the orgin comes from Chinese immigrants in the 1800's that worked in New Orleans on railroads.
