From what I understand that about as accurate you will find outside speaking to someone that makes the sauce there.

Accurate or not, I make that one all the time and it tastes just like it. Sometimes I switch our apple cider vinegar and spicy mustard for a change, but that's my go-to.

I always just winged it until it tasted right, but those are the ingredients I used. Coarse or freshly cracked pepper though.

I made this last night and it goes great with the turkey breast I smoked yesterday. Good mustard flavor, which I love with smoked poultry.

Copycat recipe also listed in "Legends of Texas Barbecue Cookbook" by Robb Walsh, page 103:

1 cup water
1/2 cup Louisiana hot sauce
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 teaspoons salt
t tablespoon coarsely ground black pepper

mix all together in heated saucepan till sugar and salt dissolve, then simmer for a few minutes. Done.

...been making this recipe for 20+ years, as good or better than Luling
