BBQ Sauce/Gravy recipe

looking for a gravy sauce recipe. For those around Austin/Washington/Fayette counties you know the old timers call it gravy not bbq sauce. Anyone have a good one? I know it's easy for me to just go buy some of Schoajsa's, but I'd like to learn make my own.

lived in bellville for a while. I remember the gravy being ketchup, minced onions and butter, maybe some vinegar too with some salt and pepper

PO Sam BBQ Brown Gravy Sauce
1 tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup warm water
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 quart of smoked brisket drippings
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
Salt and black pepper to taste

Add ingredients to the smoked brisket drippings while warm and whisk briskly over simmering heat.

I like Franklin's recipe. Just like my mother used to make. Really simple.
