Headed to Fredericksburg this weekend for New Years with the SO. Looking for any restaurant/winery recs y'all might have. Right now we have reservations at Grape Creek and Michael Ros wineries. Thanks!

I like Hondo's on Main for daytime eating and drinking and Jack's Chophouse for dinner.

I'm not sure on many places though because all the shops and wine bars close extreme early.

We always have a good time at Grape Creek, Becker's Vineyard. Try these guys that are off the beaten path in Fredricksburg:

My wife and I have a routine every time we go to Fredericksburg for the places we visit.

1. Hit up Martini's Seafood for lunch or dinner. Usually it's easier to get a table at lunch. You wouldn't think the middle of the hill country would have great seafood, but this place has some of the best seafood anywhere. Of course, the martinis are good here as well.

2. Vaudeville for dinner, might need a reservation. Try a charcuterie board. My goto entree is the grilled lamb rack.

3. Get some port wine from Becker Vineyards. Their red port is delicious as well as the white port called the "Malmsey."

4. Get some Clear River Ice Cream. It's my favorite ice cream place in Texas. Love the cookie monster flavor.

5. Kaffee Haus is great for coffee and breakfast pastries. Caliche Coffee Bar & Ranch Road Roasters is good for hipstery breakfast entrees that are very good.

6. Dinner at Cabernet Grill, might need a reservation. We don't always make it here, but the food is very good. I love the Jumbo Lump Crab Gratin appetizer.

Otto's is great, but getting in this weekend on short notice will be hard.

We like Eakers for bbq, Hondos, Hill & Vine, and Otto's. Allstadt Brewery is also a really cool place to visit. For wine we like Kuhlman Cellars, Sandy Road, and Lost Draw. If you like breakfast tacos there's a good spot over by the airport that I'm blanking on the name.

Sleeper for breakfast? Nury's International Cuisine. Nothing adventurous but REAL good breakfast at reasonable prices in a town that can get pricy if you don't watch yourself.

We're in Fredericksburg this weekend too and they're booked for reservations but said they only book a portion of the restaurant and leave some tables for walk in. Go at a reasonable time and you might get in.
