cross posting from H&F board because I think there are more people here.

just got a Costco membership. Its a little overwhelming. Can yall let me know your best purchases from there? Healthy buys appreciated!

the best one I found so far are the Kirklands brand of the Starbucks Sous Vide egg bites. They are incredible for a breakfast on the go.

we buy all our organic chicken there. Good prices. boneless and skinless breasts and thighs. Also organic wings when they have them. They also have some 100% grassfed beef hotdogs we like.

also buy Kirkland organic peanut butter and the Kirkland organic extra virgin olive oil and avocado oil.

ground beef: divide up into 1lb and freeze
salmon: divide up and freeze
pork chops: divide up and freeze
meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes is great
mashed sweet potato (seasonal) is great
lawn & leaf bags are a great value due to size & mil (I own a landscape company and done a lot of research and now realizing most homeowners can't put out plastic bags for pickup)
Kirkland Columbian coffee (ground) is very good
Rao sauces (2pk) are a great value
Kirkland pepper & sea salt mills
Rotisserie chicken (of course)

Milton's Cauliflower Pizza.

If you are into healthy eating, download the Yuka app.

Start scanning the barcodes on what you eat. The results may surprise you.

The Mac and Cheese from the pre-made section by the meat counter is excellent. The big pot pie from the same section isn't bad, not sure if I would buy it again. I haven't tried any of the tacos or pastas they offer back there, the taco packs seem to be a bit of a ripoff since they are so easy to make at home.

We do tend to buy a rotisserie chicken pretty much every trip since they are only $5.

My kids like the frozen chicken melts and I buy the frozen ramen bowls fairly often.

Meat - get a vacuum sealer if you don't have one already
Cured meats
Eggs (raw and hard boiled)
Organic milk
Kirkland protein bars
Nuts
Catalina Crunch
Everything bagel crusted cod
Fruit and veggies (If you want baked potatoes you will not find a store with larger russett potatoes than Costco but you have to buy a 10 pound bag of them)

Not healthy
Their frozen thin crust pizza is awesome, as is the detroit-style frozen pizza.
Mac and cheese
Chicken alfredo
Desserts - plenty of cakes, pies, and cookies, and if you have kids they make pretty much the best birthday cake around.

I find the biggest saving item is blueberries. Same brand can be 4x more expensive at Whole Foods.

Wine, especially stuff from Bordeaux. If you open one and you like it, go back asap and buy all they have.
Motor City Pizzas are great, though you can get them at HEB.
Their granola if you can find it.
Giant blocks of Jarlsberg cheese.
Lobster tails when they roll out the seafood cart on the weekends.

They microblade their steaks, so theoretically you shouldn't cook them under about medium. I wish they didn't do that. Their meat is of good enough quality that it isn't needed.
