Doing my first prime rib roast. Looking for a great rub.

Was thinking something like
- Kosher Salt
- Black pepper freshly ground
- garlic powder
- onion powder
- paprika
- thyme

Probably season and let sit in the refrigerator for 24 hours and then let sit out for a couple of hours before putting in the oven.

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Also, looking at YouTube, someone suggested coating with Worcestershire as a binder. Not sure about that.

I like to use the drippings for Yorkshire pudding, so I stick with salt, pepper, garlic powder. What you listed sounds good too though

Science Denier: Howdy, go with top 4, you may also wish to consider Herbs de Province, lightly, very good spice, do not use liberally, also Yellow Mustard or W sauce as binder, DO NOT OVER COOK!!!

Never used W sauce as a binder. Probably add to the flavor. May use that.

Thanks!!

Second the W sauce, it takes Worcestershire sauce to a whole new level. If you're gonna use a binder.
