The family and I will be in Nashville this summer and humbly request this board's restaurant recommendations. We're not looking to get dressed up or drop a mortgage payment.

It's been a few years but here's some personal favorites:
-Merchants
-Husk
-The Black Rabbit
-Monell's

For sure we'll do Nashville hot chicken. Google says Prince's or Hattie B's. Any board preference between the two?

Drinks at "Attaboy"- Speakeasy.

The Optimist has great seafood.

The Catbird Seat and The Rabbit Hole.

I've found Hattie B's to be more consistent. There's also one in Dallas now

White Duck taco is good.

Red Headed Stranger in east Nashville for tacos

I'd say Audrey or June across the street from there, but those are dress up and drop some coin places.

For something a little different, we really like Chauhan Ale and Masala House.

Second Black Rabbit and Merchants, but Merchants is currently closed. Their site says remodely but I believe we were told there was a landlord/tenant dispute. I think someone told us that when we were in Nashville a couple of months ago.

Black Rabbit is wonderful. Get Rabbit Rolls for an app.

Chopper Tiki is a fun twist on a tiki bar. Outside, Maiz de la Vida has a food truck. Their birria is the best I've ever had other than my own. They hang their hat on their nixtamalized corn tortillas, and they every bit as good as advertised.

Pharmacy Burger lives up to the hype. Very good burger. Great german/austrian beer selection too.

Tennessee Brew Works is a good microbrew.

I drove through Nashville and ate at Prince's and was very underwhelmed.

Ugh. I really like Nashville. However, almost every dining option leaves me underwhelmed.

We had a really good dinner just outside of downtown, but I haven't located it yet.

There is the food mall place. Don't remember the name but you can find it. Probably 30 options under 1 roof. Our family can never agree on anything so it works for us.

That place is pretty neat

Biscuit Love for breakfast

The Southern is a great place for dinner.

If you have any openings, there is a public curling facility there with a full bar and restaurant. It's a ton of fun.

Definitely recommend Hattie B's. If she's there, even better.

5th and Taylor in Germantown was just fantastic. Highly recommend.

Damn, didn't realize Merchants is closed right now. I've been multiple times and always had a great meal.

Black Rabbit has the best bread I've ever had. Just a straight up loaf of sourdough with butter.

Hell yes their sourdough and butter is fantastic.

Butcher and Bee is right by Attaboy. That's a good double feature. Ladybid Taco (multiple locations) is run by Texans and good breakfast/lunch tacos.

Was in Nashville this past weekend. Really is a great food town.

Assembly Food Hall is a cant miss with a ton of local flare
