Why cant we edit the title of a thread?

Just wondering. Why can't we edit the title of our own thread? Staff can do it, but we can't. It would be a useful feature to have sometimes.

I am the only staff that monitors this forum (that is dedicated to technical problems), so you are only getting my singular opinion...

I would not be in support the open ability to edit topic titles as I believe it would be used to joke/deceive/confuse more than anything else.
