The #22 Aggies welcome Bruce Pearl and #1 Auburn. We still have at least three opportunities to get things going again in the right direction before the NCAA tournament. Auburn has separated from the rest of the league and I initially thought a 4 loss team might win this league. I see this as a good opportunity for our guys and hopefully we can have a great SEC tournament and play well in The Big Dance!

5.5 vs 8.5 at Florida: so this is a more winnable game than Florida on the road.

I agree.

I had at Florida pegged as a loss since early in The season.

I think we can win this one at home.

Get used to hearing the name Miles Kelly during the game. He hit nine 3s against Kentucky and he's got to be excited watching film of our defense. Gonna have to deny him like we did Caleb Grill at Mizzou.

I starred about half the posts above.

The optimistic ones!

If we are going to make a deep run (or at least make the second weekend) of this year's NCAAT- then it starts tomorrow.

This team has too much pride, experience against good to great teams over the last several years and grit to NOT make Auburn sweat the entire game and possibly knock off the overall #1 seeded team - much like we did to Bama, who was also on their way to being the overall #1 seed in the 2023 tournament - at Reed Arena on 04 March 2023!

Note the boxscore in that game - where we held them to a low percentage from three-point range (only hitting 4 out of 16 ourselves). The difference was at the free throw line- where we got fouled early and often and almost tripled their free throws - hitting 27/28 while they only got to the line 11 times - hitting 10 of them.

Can we replicate that kind of free throw disparity against Auburn?

Regardless, hoping history repeats itself - at least in this game (while avoiding the first round tournament upset that we later experienced).

You honestly never know. Auburn has already won the SEC regular season title and is coming off short rest. They may overlook this game a bit.
