Like many of you I'm a huge fan of Andy. He's the heart and soul of this team and his story is amazing. What's the best way to directly help him through NIL? I can't seem to find NIL athletic wear for him. Are there enough people on here that feel the same that we can try and do some kind of NIL $ that would be directed to Andy?

Not 100% sure, but I believe he is here on a student visa so he can't receive NIL from the U.S.

I'm interested in seeing where he goes from here. I'm assuming taking a grad assistant job is the best way to stay in the US (if he wants to stay) since professional ball is likely not in the cards.

Probably low tier Euro leagues or Puerto Rico, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, or Philippines. Not seeing G League, Australia, or decent Euro level as an option, but I could be wrong.

He has decent form and shooting touch, just not a lot of desire to score right now. If Anderson Varejeo could play in the NBA for 10 years, Andersson Garcia certainly could if he's willing to bring effort for 82 games a year as a bench piece. At this point, I'd actually be really surprised if a team didn't spend a pick somewhere in the 50-60 range to put him on a G-League team and see if he can offensive rebound like he did here against bigger, faster and stronger competition. And if he can do that, and shoot 38% from 3, there is a spot for him on a roster as a bench guy no doubt.

Maybe better to say I'd be surprised if a team doesn't take a free agent flyer on him to see if he could consistently rebound like he does now against more athletic competition.

There is value in a guy that can get you 5 extra possessions a game, and picks 50-60 for certain teams are just flyers anyway. If he measures well and interviews well, who knows. Probably wrong to say I'd be surprised if he's drafted, but rather surprised if at least one team isn't curious to see if his one elite skill translates.

Obviously if teams think that skill doesn't translate, then he has no spot in the league. Perhaps it's just the constant "Dominican Rodman" talk that has me believing that someone will value that skill and be curious.

I don't rule out any player for being successful though-- after being so wrong about AC.

This short sequence here is what makes me think there is more to him then we've usually seen.



He gets the steal, and he doesn't just hold it and find a guard, he is the guard and he flies up court, makes the right pass to Manny and is ready for the lob back from Manny.

But as Aston says, if he measures like 6'6'' then it's even harder to see him in the league. So maybe I'll walk my statement back a bit. But I don't discount that he brings effort, and more skill then we ask him to have.

He's also 24 years old. He's a month younger than Zion Williamson and a whole year older than Anthony Edwards.

This is true. We had a certain football coach blackmail a certain foreign player to remain on the team….. This player with a coffee sounding name was accepting $ and this very wealth football coach said he would turn him in if he left.
