He's a terrible X's and O's coach. That's he has to spend all his time teaching guys how to hustle and dive on the floor.

Buzz simply is a poor in-game coach. Motivates. Finds players to fit his system. Retains players well in the context of the portal era. But under two minutes, we might as well have a random person on the sideline

The elevator screen to Wilcher was perfect. But I agree, the timeout with a wide open Wade was really bad

This is where Buzz being an "analytics first" coach gets him in trouble. I get that he's got a big brain for being able to keep up with and decipher all of the numbers, but he often seems like he has no "feel" for the game or situation.

Running the analytics playbook may gain you an occasional advantage, but it gives you no way to account for the hot hand, game flow, or other 6th sense type stuff.

I disagree, from a playcalling standpoint he's pretty good ATO, which made that lob all the more bizarre.

Maybe they saw something in film that lead to it? Either way, it was a bad time to try it and a really bad attempt by Wade … it wasn't even close to open. Gotta swallow that one and just toss it in.

That was not on Buzz. It was such a scramble on that play he wanted to make sure we got possession IMO.

Texas A&M is 8-4 this year in games decided by 5 points or less.
