...for our Aggies would certainly match the pattern set by other "protected seed" teams who were knocked out of the SECT early:

1. In 2022 Arky won their first SECT game before being whipped by a desperate Texas Aggie team in their second game - but the 4-seed Razorbacks went on to win three games to make the Elite Eight in the NCAAT before losing to 2-seed Duke just short of a Final Four.

2. Last year Tennessee lost their first SECT game - then, as a 2-seed went on a deep run to reach the Elite Eight-losing by only 6 points to eventual National Runner-up, Purdue.

I expect AT LEAST a similar deep run from our well-rested likely 3-seed Fightin Texas Aggies!!!

honestly this is why i don't understand the nashijg of teeth. this season has always been about march madness. we made the tourney and will end up with at least a top 4 seed. so the first step is complete now it's all about making it to at least the sweet sixteen. this season was alway going to be judged by what type of run we make.

put another way if we were sitting at 27-5 got a 2 seed and lost in the second round is that a successful season? probably not. at this point nothing else matters. it's what they do next weekend and then the following that will allow us to judge this season and buzz potential ceiling with texas a&m.

I still have my doubts about anything past the round of 32 but that's better than the alternative of *****ing about losing to a team fighting for their lives.

Yeah we missed a bunch of free throws and in the end that was the ball game right there, but we didn't mail it in.

In this game, we saw March Manny and we finally saw Jace hit a long one after shanking his free throws. To me those are huge going forward.

I disagree. We don't want him shooting more, but if his number comes up when everyone else is covered, the more confidence he has, the better.
