South Carolina State was playing in the MEAC championship game. They tied the game with about 10 seconds left on a steal under their own basket.
The player who scored the game tying basket didn't realize the game was tied and thought they were still down. He intentionally fouled the guy who got the ensuing inbounds pass and Norfolk State won by making a free throw.
