Anything stand out to yall? Would love to hear everyone's thoughts. The 12-5 and 13-4 games are very intriguing this year imo.

So far I'm liking:

- (12) UCSD to beat (5) Michigan
- (12) Colorado St to beat (5)Memphis
- (11) Drake to beat (6) Mizzou
- (12) Liberty to make the Sweet 16
- (13)High Point over (4) Purdue
- (6) Ole Miss to the Elite 8

I think I like the UCSD over Michigan pick the most of those.

Colorado State, as a 12, is actuall favored over Memphis. I know the 5 vs. 12 line is always competitive, but is that rare?

Remember every March madness expert tried to convince us that there was gonna be a McNeese upset last year then they got destroyed by 20+ round 1 lol

I think Memphis has some injuries in their backcourt. Both point guards. Tyrese Hunter and back-up Dante Harris. Neither played against UAB and they still blew UAB out by 12.

Not sure on the favorites but CSU is actually ranked ahead of Memphis in the NET (47 vs 49) so it doesn't seem far fetched for them to be at least on par, especially if Memphis has injury issues

For me
Most likely 15 seed upset: Omaha over SJU
Most likely 14 seed upset: Lipscomb over Iowa State
Most likely 13 seed upset: Akron over Arizona
Most likely 12 seed upset: CSU over Memphis
Most likely 11 seed upset: Drake over Missouri
Most likely 10 seed upset: Arkansas over Kansas
Most likely 9 seed upset: Baylor of Mississippi State

I too think UCSD will be our second round matchup if we get past Yale.

High Point over Purdue.

CSU over Memphis

Ole Miss over Iowa State in the 2nd round

I'm also pretty tempted to pick Louisville over Auburn, but not quite ready to stake my claim on that one yet.

I think the 1 seed least likely to make it out of the first weekend is Duke. Mississippi State and Baylor are both interesting matchups for them in different ways. And State will absolutely attack Flagg if that ankle isn't healthy.

probably one of the more likely ones

Even with Louisville getting a de facto home game against Auburn in the 2nd round?

Yeah, it's not going to be a de facto home game. Auburn fans have known they were likely headed to Lexington for months to buy up the tickets.

Now I'm sure Tennessee fans are going to jump on the Louisville wagon to cheer against Bruce Pearl, but I still think Auburn is going to have a huge chunk of the crowd.

It is funny this happened to Auburn though, they really can't complain, they got the same situation in their favor a few years ago when they played 1-seed Houston in Birmingham.

But c'mon, we beat Louisville in Lexington in a tournament game before, how hard can it be?

Oh I'm not ready to go ahead and say Louisville is going to beat Auburn. I just think with Louisville being underseeded and the game being in Lexington makes it the most likely upsets for the 1's in the first weekend. I don't think Auburn is playing as good as Duke is right now either, even with a <100% Flagg playing.

McNeese State held off Clemson 69-67 after leading 40-16 with 16:14 left and 51-29 with 8:07 left. As a result, McNeese State won an NCAA tournament game for the first time ever.

CSU is a great school, high character...opposite of trashball CU....reminds me of the TAMU/tu dynamic. Fort Collins is a cool college town too. They don't sniff their own farts like boulder.

Only thing better would be if they were playing in Lexington.

Ditto to all of this… our son graduated from CSU 2 years ago and got a job in that area. Very cool town, good school, great outdoor activities.

CSU/Maryland should be an interesting matchup.
