I have flown spirit and frontier multiple times before. I will continue to fly spirit as a bare bones super cheap provider that tends to get me to my destinatiom with minimal delays if any.
I will never fly Frontier again. That's how bad they are.

It's only 1,000 miles from College Station. Leave Tuesday and you'll make it there in plenty of time.
They aren't bad, be aware of all the fees and plan accordingly. I flew Frontier from DEN to IAH for the Texas game last minute because of $$$$ and was fine.
Frontier is fine, just remember to turn your iphone horizontal for the in flight fighting
The flights themselves are fine but they're also the only airline i've ever used that straight up canceled my flight at the gate.

Flown Frontier half a dozen times the last couple years.
To me, biggest difference in the experience is the clientele you are flying with and the flight attendants.
If you expect a discount airline experience (no snacks, slightly less comfortable seats, no charging ports, etc), you will not be disappointed.
Remembering how much money you are saving should help you enjoy the flight.

Driving (gas+extra hotel night) is actually more expensive than Frontier. This airline must REALLY suck if driving is the better option!The Original Houston 1836 said:

Flew from Omaha to Dallas last year on Frontier with no issues. All I had was a backpack as a carry on so didn't have to worry about other fees

I like Spirit and Frontier because they keep a lid on the cost of a ticket to city they serve compared to legacy carriers. This is especially true for smaller markets where there is no competition from Frontier/Spirit/allegiant etc.
My wife fly's a lot for work. She can build/use points. Nothing bad about Frontier. Took them to Boston earlier this year. Sorry I upset you. Looking forward to the game!
Frontier is fine
Flying SWA out of Hobby Wednesday. Meeting my son on connecting flight in Dallas.
Frontier is fine. I've never had a bad experience with other frontier passengers either, but it probably depends on the flight destination. Denver? No problem at all.
I've flown Frontier twice and they were completely fine. Prefer them over Spirit everyday, but have to stay on American for the points addiction.
