25-35 from inside the arc tonight. Wow. We will probably need to make a few more 3s if we want to advance Saturday, but if we can keep finishing at the rim like we did, look out.

Another note, Phelps was not good tonight, but that's the kind of "bad" we can withstand from him. Only 6 total shots (2 makes), only 1 TO, 3 rebounds in 25 minutes. Not good numbers, but solid on-ball defense and didn't hurt us on offense.

Also a weird stat night on the boards - 0 offensive rebounds for Andy or Coleman. But we did shoot 52% overall from the floor, so that helps.

Payne really skewed our stats. It's easy to say the team shot well but really just he did.

I mean, not really. Payne was 10-12, which is 83%, so the rest of the team was really good inside as well.

Wade 5-7
Hefner 2-2
Manny 2-4
Carter 2-2
Phelps 1-2

Andy was the only guy on the team who scored a bucket but shot under 50% from 2. Everybody finished at the rim well tonight, which hasn't been common lately.

Yeah I meant overall not just from 2. We were able to get some fast breaks and I thought Taylor was especially good in there tonight. But Coleman wasn't as effective as I'd have thought.

We did have some pretty dumb turnovers around the basket though.

Amazing how you shoot better when you don't have to face the super athletic players like most of the SEC has. I expected us to dominate the glass more than we did but then again the offensive glass is not nearly as important when you shoot 50% + from the field.

Yeah, that was pretty easy to see coming. I expect the trend to continue today. Doesn't mean all of the SEC teams will win, but the ones that normally struggle on offense are going to feel like that first morning you wake up feeling good after being sick. The air smells fresher, food tastes better, your wife looks hotter, the whole world is better, lol.

Except Mizzou and Georgia.

Mizzou is one of the good offensive teams though. I mean like those teams that have just been grinding on offense for three months. Us, State, Ole Miss, Arkansas... Things that have been really hard for those teams are going to suddenly seem relatively easy on offense.

Georgia would have been a good candidate but they were definitely terrible.
