You can be appreciative of their sacrifices and efforts even if they don't win their last game . Winning is important but there are many different ways to win in life and most have jack **** to do with a scoreboard.

I really enjoy team sports because it's fun and interesting entertainment but so many overvalue the end result vs the journey.

Being nice and respectful has the same impact as sayibg " just win" (ie none at all) except well being nice and respectful and showing appreciation and even good sportsmanship.

I used to feel differently- but they are professional athletes now.
