Wife and I went to both games of the A&M Session on Thursday, and stayed for both games today. A few observations-
1-Would definitely do it again, even at the cost-had a lot of fun, (particularly Thursday of course).
2-Ive gone to many neutral site games and sat near fans of other teams-Tennessee fans during the College World Series; Arkansas fans in Dallas; others. ALL of them were much classier and friendlier than the michigan fans.
3-The referees in College Basketball are horribly inconsistent, and appear to not recognize a foul when committed by a 7 foot or taller player. This was true of all the games in which a 7-footer played-they routinely were allowed to commit over the back, or push other players out of the way to obtain a rebound. If called even somewhat fairly, both of the michigan 7 footers, and the Wisconsin 7 footer would have fouled out in todays games, and the michigan players would have fouled out against UC San Diego.
4-BYU's Cougar mascot is the real deal. Like Olympic quality gymnast/break dance champion.
5-Aggie faithful put in a decent showing of support, but seemingly all the Wisconsin fans and some BYU fans were rooting against us along with the michigan fans. I root Aggies because son is in the Corps and Band. I went to Penn State for grad school, and get the whole 'support your conference' thing, but truly michigan is the worst and I don't get ANYONE else rooting for them. I can't stand michigan-Who knows, maybe people had money on them.
