Up ten and rolling, Buzz brings in Jace/Solo for Garcia/CJ. Could have extended the lead but he brings in two guys that can't score, struggle to make good basketball decisions, in favor of two guys that had the Aggies rolling in the second half.

Our rotation was too big and never shortened.

Did you see how tired Garcia was? He was dying out there. Wade was dying out there. Sounds good to simply say don't take guys out, but if they are exhausted then it's gong to hurt you and they were clearly trying to have as much as they could fresh down the stretch. That elevation was hitting hard.

Also I think in addition to Andy being super winded, that might have been when he also hurt his knee.

It's the "defensive" subs. Which is ironic considering we gave up 8 unanswered or something crazy once those subs happened. That damn 3/4 court press killed us. They went 5 for 5 from the field against it before we got out of it.

Payne wilcher and Andy were critical pieces for the offense when Phelps and Wade struggled.. and that's where we were at. Made no sense

Andy was absolutely gassed at this point. Very rare to ever see our guys with hands on their knees, but Andy did it before getting pulled. He 100% needed a break there.

Andy needed a break, but it was classic buzz over coaching and content to slow the game down once we got a cushion. That mentality lost us the game. Never take the foot off the gas until there's truly not enough time for a comeback. It was so predictable and so painful to watch.

Hard to trim your rotations when you have so many "contributors" that just straight up aren't good at anything

Good/Great teams play 7 maybe 8 players this time of year. Go look at minutes played for almost every game yesterday, and you'll see teams that played 3/4 guys 30+ minutes.

And before the thin air comments (Aggie loser excuse), TTUN had 4 guys play 30+ minutes.

Buzz sucks at subbing.

Michigan played 4 guys over 30 minutes and another over 26… their coach knew their season was on the line and played his best guys! Buzz played everyone over 10 minutes and not one person over 26 minutes to make their parents happy… season on the line and everything! Instead of us wearing them down with fresher bodies, they eventually found a rhythm while we were subbing every 3-4 minutes

Carter was a time thief most of the season. He saw 21 min of run. There was no reason for him to play more than 10 min. Those 11 extra min would have better spent on some combination of Obaseki, Wilcher, and Coleman.

TCUN have the better coach. Buzz overanalyzes every aspect of the game. He gets stuck in the mud far too often.

Carter and Hef played too much all year.

Manny has never been used right.. He should be rubbing off screens and attack basket on the catch, space the floor, or post up little guys guarding him. Instead we have him play point, which encourages him to be a ball hog and take bad shots (when he did play)

1000%. I've never understood why we don't play manny off ball whatsoever. It's painful to watch. He's so athletic, no one would be able to keep up with him off ball. Instead, we just have him play iso ball and he's not a floor manager and once he gets going, there's a 5% chance at best that he'll pass it out.

Manny was totally misused this year and Buzz's rotation with Wade in the second half was so bad it almost looked like he wanted to lose. He comes out hot in the 2nd and you immediately sit him while

Our worst two guys in the rotation got their most minutes in over a month. Absurd

The 3/4 press saw Jace get burned several times for layups/FTs. Not sure why Jace got so much run when Manny was doing pretty well.

Because Jace could rebound and Manny can't. Buzz overvalued the rebound stat and didn't stick to what was working.

I would have liked to see Manny more too.

With about 10 minutes left, you could tell most of our guys were gassed. Seems like we never played guys who were playing well. I know it's just something I'm imagining but we stopped going to Payne. Manny didn't seem to get many minutes in the 2nd. Jace actually got more minutes but he was playing better than the others. At least he hit a few 3's in the tournament. Still don't know why he can't hit FTs. Not sure why Hefner got as many minutes as he has throughout the season. He got a lot better this year but still shouldn't be someone who is starting, imo. We had really weird rotations the whole year. The guys on the court at the end of the half in that stretch at the end of the season when we were mostly losing was head scratching. Almost like we didn't really want to score....

Why we never ran a pick and roll with Taylor or Phelps with Payne as well is mind boggling.

Should have rode Wade, Manny, CJ, Garcia and Payne..

Subs, solo, Coleman, Phelps

It was a pretty simple recipe to a W

We gave up 91…and couldn't score as high a clip to keep up

this. he lost all confidence at the end. he carried us several games in the middle of the season and he relieved a ton of defensive pressure on Wade. but he went through the funk that so many offensive players go through for us and didn't even really try to get out of it the last few games.

Wade and Solo were also in foul trouble the whole way through. When you have to keep your best offensive and best defensive players on the bench, the subbing is going to go haywire.
