Is there any reason not to go hire Rick Pitino? Guy is a legend. Could pull recruits. Knows the game. Seems like we could definitely pry him away from St. Johns. He's only making $3.3MM a year there. We're paying buzz like $4.6MM.
The only negatives I can see are age. He is in his 70s. He was bounced by Arkansas and may have lost the edge similar to Mack Brown at North Carolina. He may not want to come to the south. He may not want to coach here.
