On-court I'm hoping we can find success in the more analytical style of play, sounds like Bucky really empathizes smart offensive basketball (making FTs, layups, and quality 3 attempts) and so if we look like we're in the vein of what Oats has done at Bama I'll be very optimistic.
Off the court, I'm hoping this is fun. As others have said in this thread, the last few coaching regimes seemed disconnected from the fanbase. I appreciate Buzz as a leader and I think he values instilling values on the team and to basically anyone he meets, but I never got the sense that he wanted to connect with the fanbase, there was always a slight arms length there, which was never helped by how he would talk about our team (e.g. "we're not a good team, we don't shoot well, but we'll try to do the little things")
Looking at some of the best basketball crowds, you see a coach who is looking to fire up the students as much as the players, whether that is a guy like Musselman cutting promo vids for other school sports all the way to Bruce Pearl shirtless in the Vols crowd to cheer on Pat Summit's teams... I think Bucky is going to work to make the students feel like they are coming on this journey with the players. Buckyball seems pretty rowdy as an ethos and I expect Reed to feel the same.
