I think we need to be patient. Buzz left him 1 scholarship player and we hired him late in the coaching cycle. Definitely can't judge him on Year 1.

Judging a coach in Year 1 coming into this situation is beyond laughable. Bucky had a pretty great explanation in the media conference about how the current NIL situation made this like hiring a coach in August.

He's basically picking from absolute latest holdouts right now. He accepted this job knowing next year will be one of the hardest years for him to coach in his career maybe. First time coaching in a top college basketball conference with a team from the clearance rack.

I think if he gets a couple guys in the portal that fit his system, and this Bucky Ball stuff at least allows guys to put up some impressive stats like it's supposed to, it will draw in those better players for a solid year 2. If we make the postseason next year, even NIT it will just be icing.

Not in the first year and prob not in year 2 either. He made sure to let everyone know that need time and he doesn't even have a roster today.

We'll see how patient everyone is as it could be year 3-4 before really competing (the guys will play hard, but he won't get enough good players to really compete....Bucky Ball needs depth and rotation even more than the avg. system).

I doubt Bucky has been on these boards, but it felt like someone certainly informed him of the situation and what people have been complaining about. He hit so many points during his presser.

I don't think it's a texags thing but more a reflection of community and athletic department frustration and sentiment towards Buzz and how he treated everyone not enthusiastically and demonstratively on team bus buzz 1.

Absolutely. Seems like those "quotes" were some of the big points in the interview Trev complained not wanting to have at all. Buzz's "coldness" still irks me. You get paid that much you have to embrace what that role is and how to handle it.

Haven't we read on threads during the season that we had better 3pt shooters in the Rec Center? Let's do it hahaha.

I'm excited about the guy. No idea if he'll succeed but this is how you catch lightning in a bottle. Tough year 1 but him bringing a few guys from Samford will help
