I think this was the best outcome (UH losing). Our program is sandwiched in the middle and competing with too many good or up-and-coming programs in Texas. UoH has had a lot of success the last five years, Baylor too, TTU is pushing, the Longhorns are trying to use all their resources to push for a breakthrough, and SMU and TCU are still investing heavily in their programs. So I think UoH losing is for the best

Last sequence didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Attack the rim and hope for a foul or put back on the rebound versus what looked like an all in chance to win it with a 3. They didn't dance with who brung them. Jmo.
I disagree with dogging them. They made it to the final and were right there in the hunt until the end.

Just enjoying UH heartbreak bc they caused plain to a&m last year. Relax Francis.
UH had quite a few in foul trouble at the end of the game and one had already fouled out. It would be interesteing to ask Sampson but it was probably because they wanted that three to win mode rather than go to overtime and be stretched thin on players??
Clayton just made a great read on defense and threw off the shooters possiblity of hitting it. that was a great championship game and hard to believe the Coogs did not win. they were leading for like 39 minutes and 40 seconds of the whole game but just could not finish them off

I pulled for UF and am glad they won, but there's no way I could bring myself to point & lol at a team that just went to their 7th Final Four.

I loved Phi Slamma Jamma as a teen in the early '80's. I was crushed when they lost in 1983. Despite them beating us last year, I was rooting for them yesterday.
Man, that was a heartbreaker for UH fans. That said, I've been there as an Aggie and Houston (pro) sports fan multiple times.

UF's on-ball pressure disrupted every possession at the end. They stepped on the sideline trying to drive. Lost it on a rebound. Lost it out of bounds twice while driving. The proper play there was a shot-fake. But I think they took the clock so deep because of the ball pressure, and Sharp may not have known he still had time.
