It's always darkest before the dawn.

I've heard old-timers tell stories about how college sports teams were decimated soon after after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor by kids volunteering to serve and the draft. This was especially true at A&M because we were an all military school. But even then I don't know if we ever had only one player return the following season.

I hope someone does a story on him so we can learn why he stayed. Perhaps we may learn we should be thanking his girlfriend (or boyfriend).

He's from Houston. My guess is he wants to be close to family and wants family to be able to see him play.

Maybe he loves Texas A&M like we do!
