Last year I included these on the predictions thread but there was a lot to put on here so figured I'd separate it out. What an absolutely incredible year on the predictions thread.

Actual results: 22-9 regular season, 11-7 conference, 4 seed; Conference champion was Auburn and the national champion was Florida

Best overall record predictions: Multiple dead-on winners: czar_iv, taylorswift13_, MarcAg, CactusThomas, AggieViking15, SECTAMU#1

Best conference record prediction: Only one person nailed it, BuzzFan24

4 seed predictions: MarcAg, GrayMatter, SECTAMU#1, Topher17, Detective Jake Peralta, Pvilleaggie

Auburn as SEC Champ: Nobody

Florida as National Champ: Nobody picked Florida, though multiple people (Detective Jake Peralta, Gray Matter, Uncle Jimbo) picked Houston who finished as runner-up

The award for "prediction that was right but probably not how you envisioned it": TombstoneTex with "We sign a 5 star recruit or former 5 star transfer for 2025"

Best of other predictions:

• Me: wire-to-wire in the top 25, beating Texas by double digits at home
• czar_iv: "This team defensively is going to remind us of the old BCG teams with Kirk/Law/etc but maybe better." despite what it felt like sometimes, last year's team finished 10th in KenPom defense, the exact same as the 2006 team and better than the 2007 team
• taylorswift13_: "Texas doesn't make the tournament, Rodney Terry is fired" (I feel like losing in the play-in game is almost not making it so I'm giving this like an 85% right)
• GrayMatter: "Wade ups his assist average per game" (by .3 but it counts)
• AggByMarriage: "We average >9.5k fans per game"

Worst of other predictions: (these aren't all the wrong ones, just the most and or most hilariously wrong)

• Me: "we avoid the minislump and don't lose more than two games in a row"
• Czar_iv: "I just like Andre Mills and think he'll be the freshman surprise"
• The Marksman: "Our starting 5 of IV, MO, Phelps, Solo, and Payne is one of the best in the nation, powering us to finish the year top 20 in the nation in PPG"
• "Jace takes a leap forward, leading all scorers off the bench"
• MarcAg: "Ratowski actually plays some this year instead of purposely redshirting"
• "We are not a horrible three point shooting team. Might not be good, but not horrible. This feels dumb as I am typing it." (narrator voice: it was, in fact, dumb)
• BuzzFan24: "RS Fresh Rob Dockery works his way into the rotation"
• TjgtAg08: "Andre Mills is a starter by February 1"
