Game Preview
Time to take a break from the cupcakes and face some real competition. Can't think of any other Aggie sporting event today, so we might as well tune into ESPN2 to watch Bucky and his guys take on a solid power 4 team in Florida State at 4pm.
Florida State's reputation early on is in large part is their 2 point loss to Florida. However aside from that game they have played, Alcorn State, Alabama State, Tennessee Martin, Georgia Southern, and Cal State Bakersfield.
It's going to be a great back and forth up tempo kind of game. They love to shoot the 3 ball and are first in the country in 3's attempted. So our 3 point defense needs to be on point and we need to do a much better job of matching up in transition and not giving away the quick easy 3.
I really want to see how our offense fares with another shot against better competition. Obviously we scored like crazy the last 2 games against Manhattan and MVSU, but we saw our offense sputter against Oklahoma State and UCF. Can we survive the scoring droughts, or much better can we avoid the scoring droughts. Can we buy an easy bucket or get to the foul line. Perhaps with our full lineup we'll be able to. That's what I'm most interested in watching in this game.
While you anxiously wait around for the tu football game, tune in to watch our Aggies in a big game "on a neutral court" in Tampa. We got 3 games away from Reed in a row, all against power 4 competition. Let's put ourselves in a great spot and get this W.
