With out Mac, I think we go 7-11. Which isn't bad for year one but coupled with the UCF and SMU losses, it probably keep us out of NIT.

SEC play will unfortunately be a lot tougher without Mac. I was hoping for 9 or 10 wins with him, so we might be looking at a few less than that now. Bucky's first year was always going to be a rebuilding year, I guess.

18-14 would likely get us an NIT bid

Losing Mgbako hurts for sure . We're going to be a very small team. Having said that Mgbako didn't play like a big much that I saw although his board work was improving .

In a way we're lucky because it's not like he was completely up to speed and we were relying on him and then he went down. Not that this is a good situation but at least it's not like he's been averaging 20 points and playing 25 mins a night. So it shouldn't just be an absolutely crazy adjustment.

I have been looking for him to play better than he has so far. Maybe his injury has been worse then we were lead to believe.

Vanderbilt being 13-0 going into SEC play was not on my bingo card. Lots of parity in the league this year.

It shouldn't really be that big of an adjustment for the team, as Mgbako's impact and availability has been minor is relation to what we all expected and hoped for, which sucks for both him and the program.

Where it hurts is it lowers the ceiling for this team -- if Mgbako was really back and close to 100% at this point, the trajectory could potentially be very high over the next 2 months if he gelled and found his rhythm. Obviously that is not going to happen, but at least we haven't been used to having a healthy Mgbako for the last 3-4 weeks and now have to make massive scheme changes without him (as others have already said).
