Now that we have finished preseason and possibly our best player out for the season.
What is everybody's prediction on how we finish this year compared to last year.
Above or below 20 wins?
Make the ncaa or not?
Better or worse than 500 in conference.

For me
Almost the same wins and losses as last year. Probably will miss the ncaa. Bucky will find some real holes like no really good defensive player once we are in conference play.

On the positive side we will play a more exciting style of basketball and he will know who he needs to really compete next year.

Below 20 wins. Under.500 in SEC play and not sniffing the NCAA tournament. By not sniffing I mean not being one of the ten to fifteen bubble teams mentioned. Most likely no NIT.

Think it is a little early to declare Bucky being the guy. Need to see what adjustments he makes with this team and how he competes in conference. This will be a challenging year, just hope he is as good with coaching this team as he is at getting all 15 coaches to dress the same during games.

5-13 conference record

Well know more next weekend, these first two home conference games are huge. If our magic number is 10 these probably need to be two of them.

7-11 and miss out on NIT. Losing Mac hurt.

Going to have some upsets though, hot night shooting that will compensate for defensive play

We'll beat a few teams that we're not supposed to beat and lose to a few teams we have no business losing to. It'll come down to being on fire shooting one night and ice cold the next.

We'll be below .500 in the SEC, and we won't make the postseason. This is a rebuild year with a new coach, so this should've been expected.

Yeah I think that the SEC is kind of wide open this year too. I wouldn't be hasty to pass too much judgment on what we can or cannot do until we've seen a lot of SEC basketball. I think anything could happen. It will definitely be harder without Mac though.

I think for me it's our two best wins turned out to be horrendous P4 teams. 8 SEC wins won't be close to getting it done imo

That is my thoughts as well. I'm predicting anywhere from 6-12 to9-9

Like others said, I don't expect a great season but I'm impressed with the direction Bucky's taking us especially offense. How many 100 points plus games have we ever gone in a season? I think we already have like 5-6 games past 100 points in non-conference games.

Im glad we have LSU at home for the 1st game.

I said 6-12 before the season started and I see no reason to change that at this point.

Hope I'm very wrong and we are some how able to consistently win in the very physical SEC.

I suspect we'll have nights where we can't miss, and nights where we can't buy a bucket.

I don't think this season will go well. I do like the coach and more uptempo style.

I would guess we'll be a tad under 500, a tad below 20 wins, and not in March Madness. Possibly an NIT bid.

Even though the season outlook right now is less favorable than it was a year ago at this time, the season is so much more fun and full of optimism.

Not writing anything off this season, but full of hope for future. Bucky is the right guy, and I like the players we have.

Winning the first conference game and being a top 5 scoring team is much funnier so far compared to the rebound the brick offense. No expectations might exceed what were high expectations. Can't beat that.
