I thought our backcourt pressure defense was amazing yesterday, best I've seen all year and really had them discombobulated. I know they didn't have their premier ball handler but still our pressure and intensity were outstanding. We easily could have had 2-3 five second calls as they had no idea how to in-bounds the ball. I was hoping we would get a call when they were shoving our defenders back but guess the refs don't call that very often.

LSU wanted no part of our full court press. Within minutes, they were openly hating to bring the ball in.

This is actually a fascinating game-within-the-game thing to watch this season is that every team we play is trying to buy themselves time to set up the press break by not picking up the basketball after made baskets and making the official hand it to them, sometimes even then they don't take the ball from the ref until they're ready to. It was pissing off the officials on Saturday who eventually started just putting the ball down and starting the five second count.

well i'm still confused why LSU had their best 3 pt shooter in bounding the ball on the last play. I mean they got off a decent shot, if that guy inbounding would have taken the shot he most likely would have made it.

I wasn't that happy with our defense on that play

One of the refs had a very direct conversation with #3. He handed him the ball and he just let it fall which then caused it to roll onto the court. They warned several players but didn't do much to combat it.

I can see the thought process that someone that hasn't played all game is probably far more likely to be left wide open, and 3 is one of their better passers.
