I think an extreme example of what I'm talking about is a lot of games with us last year. Instead of being overly concerned with locking down Wade Taylor, teams were generally better off just playing us straight up and not letting anyone like Payne, Garcia, etc get going at all.
The games where we were at our best were often ones where teams shifted their defense to worry about Wade and then he puts up like 6 assists.
What I'm not saying is you just let a guy go who's killing you for like two points per possession and is absolutely nuclear. Take the LSU game, Mackinnon was scoring a lot but he wasn't hyper efficient on 20 points on 18 shots (though we did let him get too many assists.)
Nwoko on the other hand had 21 points on just 10 shots because not only was he getting good looks, we kept fouling him.
