Great listen!

Two observations:
1) Emphasized process over results. He's a poker player so I would expect nothing else. This isn't "moral victory" attitude. It's recognizing that if you have good process the results will come. Not that we were perfect, but our process was good. The result of the Auburn game was good, the result of the Tennessee game was bad. Either one could have gone either way. Keep working on process.

2) Bucky was asked a question about Ament, and Bucky literally had no idea what his name was. He asked "What's his number? I only know numbers." When they told him 10, he immediately dove into analysis. Is that typical of coaches, or a Bucky thing? Seems shocking to me that he wouldn't know Ament's name.

That's an all coaches thing.

He's a stone cold assassin

The more I watch and listen to Bucky, the more its obvious that he is a stone cold killer with a southern, "aww shucks" visual exterior.

He mentioned in a recent presser after the Auburn game that he lives for the feeling of silencing the home crowd. It seems that the team is taking on Bucky's mentality and if that is the case, I think we'll be competitive in most every game we play.

I actually think Bucky is much calmer on the sidelines most of the time than most coaches. Certainly compared to Buzz or Turgeon.

One thing I don't like is coaches that have like an in-game character they turn into to work officials or whatever. Like Frank Martin is probably the biggest example of this.

Most people have this to some extent, my personality when giving a presentation at work to a room full of people is different than it is grabbing a beer with friends. You expect the energy and intensity to go up a notch.

It's the coaches that take it too far that I don't care for. Like Buzz always being ten feet on the court or when Frank Martin would stare down officials and players like he was going to rip their head off.

Careful, Frank Martin is this boards cult hero. If you say his name 3 times Hop will probable show up in this thread
