Can't make sense of any of the teams.

It will shake out in the coming weeks. A lot of parity out there in today's college basketball environment.

Well, a "mess" meaning it's impossible to figure out which teams are going to competing for the top spot in the league

Usually there are at least a couple of teams that look to be a cut above the rest

But not this year, at least not yet

It looks like it's going to be a big battle royal for the top spot

It sure was crazy day with so many road teams winning today

I think mess is pretty good. By the metrics it's still the best conference in basketball but it's like a whole league of bubble teams. 14 teams ranked between 9 and 59 in KenPom.

Our next two games are at home against the two below that, need to hold our home court leading into the bye and then it might be time to dare to dream a bit.

I'm a fan of Bucky. I love the style of play and think he could be an all time great. Just observing that we have given contract extensions perhaps a bit ... well ... prematurely in the past.

Not Trev specifically, although the jury is still out on Elko, for example. Elko may be an all time great. I like the way we seem to be heading in football. But we could easily lose 4 games next season, and then we'll be wondering if Elko is really the man.

Sitting on top of the "mess" is fun tho.

So #15, #16, #17, #20, #21 are below us in the SEC standings after more than a quarter of the way through conference play while we are unranked. That seems to be the cause of the "mess". Perception and bias isn't matching up with reality.

If it isn't already this way load up an extension with heavy performance incentives. I don't honestly think it will make a difference in the team's performance because it appears to me that Bucky is driven by wanting to win more than $ and he has the right attitude about it as well eg be the best you can be , continuous improvement , and the results will be we'll win a lot of games

That would be Aggiest thing to do…over react if god forbid we go 8-4 or 9-3. Elko clearly is a great coach who thinks through situations, adjusts well and is clearly better than anyone we've had since RC. His recruiting and talent evaluation are better than his predecessors. Sherman was average…summy lucked into lightning in a bottle with JF and Kingsbury in 2012. Jimbo was a great recruiter who mismanaged generational talent, talked a lot and said little.

Elko has a chance to get his name in one of those gate towers if given the chance.

Arkansas Vandy provides more messiness.

Not that surprising tho. As usual Arky is good at home and they may be the highest variability team in the conference as well. To some degree Vandy is also getting exposed . They are good but perhaps not as good as people thought at 16-0.
