Dores got run outta Bud Walton last night by 25. Third straight loss for Vandy, who was the SEC's lone top 10 team for a minute. It's a long season with ebbs & flows, but the shine has come off for them. We'll see whether this is a wake up call or nah.

Our own schedule is about to get real, especially starting next week:
Jan 31 at UGA
Feb 4 at Bama
Feb 7 UF
Feb 11 Mizz
Feb 14 at Vandy

All but Mizzou are currently ranked. Vandy's current struggle reminds that this balanced league may not have an elite team, but it is DEEP.

What's interesting is that I think the team that exposed Vandy's biggest weakness didn't actually beat them. Alabama had a really good gameplan against them I thought but then the fouls in that game got completely out of hand and neither team adjusted.

Difference is it's been obvious for a while. The SEC has a bunch of really talented but flawed teams. A lot of teams that can beat anyone if they get them in the kind of game they want, but can't play multiple ways very well.

Arkansas is also a pretty good team when the spirit moves them to be, especially at home. They're a classic Calipari team. They'll probably follow this up by losing to LSU on Saturday.

No doubt on Arkansas - just waiting for the committee to put them in a spot where I could see them making a run if they just survive their Round 1 match-up...

Looks to me like Florida is separating from the pack. Only potential flaw I see is possibly depth at guard .

if we win ONE out that stretch and then take care of business in those that we HOULD win the rest of the way we will still be in good shape - TWO would be amazing!

I believe that Florida has the highest ceiling of the SEC teams. We shall see in the next few weeks.

The Pigs are dogshyt on the road. They'll win their home games and lose most every road game. They'll make the S16 then get their doors blown off. That's their every season.

They've digressed this season but it doesn't mean they aren't getting good looks. They're just not falling.

Florida is currently shooting 2% worse from 3 than we did last season.

That's not some kind of outlier super-cold-for-a-few-games thing.

They have a pretty high floor because they can just absolutely crush teams on the boards on both ends. I guess they have a really high theoretical ceiling if they do get hot for a game, but I also think that shooting could let some inferior teams hang around and steal a game at the end, especially if it's a team that has any kind of size to semi curb their rebounding advantage.

Arkansas has a road win at Ole Miss. I think they'll be fine against teams like Oklahoma, Mississippi State and LSU on the road. None of those are as tough as at Auburn or Georgia.
