I know it's way too early and that we may not make the tourney, but I'm wondering about the toll Bucky ball will have on our players endurance for the second game of a tourney weekend and if we get there (even if it's in future seasons) the elite 8.
I'm thinking about this because I'm hearing Bucky talk about how tough it's going to be on our guys to have a late Wednesday then turn around to an early Saturday game. How much harder will it be to do a Friday-Sunday turn because of the demand of the buckyball style

It may be tougher on us this year because I dont think we go as deep and can depend on players 8-12 as much as Bucky would want.

More time to recruit, we will cycle more guys and keep our legs fresh. That's got to be hell on teams.

I think you can point to Samford winning a conference tournament as proof it's not a complete killer.

You also have to consider there is no travel between Thursday/Saturday or Friday/Sunday games.

Our team is going to be in better shape than most other teams. We should cause more problems for the opponent than the conditioning will be for us. Think of the Auburn game, one less day of rest for us but one less day of prep for them. Bucky also had to win the SoCon tourney with this style and then went to the tourney and took Kansas to the wire (and should have won). Ultimately, good problem to have!

Luckily the week we play tu we play Arkansas the Thursday before (only SEC team to do that this season). Bright side is we get to see how we do on the 1 day turn around

We may have slightly different goals this season than we will going forward. Right now we have to bank every single minute. Not just making the tournament, this season has to pay off big time for Agee and the big transfers we pulled at the last minute. Agee needs to get his double double when it's on the table
These good graces will pay off in spades in the future.

Bucky is rolling out a legit 10-11man rotation, and not a single freshman is touching the floor. His system thrives on depth, and he has the bodies to run it the way it's meant to be played. Most teams just can't match that because they don't have the experience or the bench talent to keep up.
Outside of Vinson, this roster is full of grown, seasoned players. These guys don't hit the lateseason wall the way freshmen so often do. And we've already seen how far an older, battletested group can go.
Indiana just proved you can win a national title in football by leaning on maturity and experience.
If Bucky can tap into that same formula, there's a realistic path to the go dancing if we don't crap our pants these next few weeks...
