GIG'EM IN SPANISH PER GOOGLE-FU

"Gig 'em," the signature slogan for Texas A&M, does not have a direct, idiomatic translation in Spanish because it is a phrase specific to the university's culture. It is generally understood among Spanish-speaking Aggies simply as "Gig 'em," or expressed through supporting phrases like "Vamos Aggies!" (Let's go Aggies) or "Arriba los Aggies!".
  • Context: It is an expression of support, approval, and encouragement.
  • Alternatives: To convey the spirit of "Gig 'em," one might use "Dale con todo, Aggies!" (Give it your all, Aggies).
  • Literary Translation: Attempting to translate "Gig 'em" directly (e.g., as "pincharles" or "atraparlos") loses the intended meaning of supporting the team.
Pincharles - Spanish phrase that translates to "to (p)rick/pierce them" or "to poke them (Pr*ck is a banned word)

Atraparlos - to catch. a. to catch. 2. (to take captive). a. to capture.

Pincharles Los Aggies!

Glad to see Bucky has a sense of humor. Even happier to see the players laughing at his jokes. Every thing we can see is showing some great interpersonal chemistry.

"Can't sit down because he's old and his back will get stiff" lol

Anybody else find it ironic that there are two threads right now featuring Bucky and the team on a bus together. Akin to Buzz's Team Bus 1. Not complaining. This team does seem to embody that concept of "connectiveness" both socially (on the bus) and the way they play (on the court).

I think some T shirts that say "Pincharlos Aggies!" would be wildly popular.

Bucky on the radio show saying Lane and Agee are on two ends of the spectrum, one can't stop talking (Agee) and the other you can't get a word out of (Lane)

The bus rides after victories you'll always remember as the time flies by, but the memories never do. Everyone can remember riding after a big victory on a team bus. Great stuff!
