15 seconds left. Go for the trap and 10 second violation. But when it gets within 2 seconds of the 10 second violation you don't dive for the tie up when it's not your arrow. Situational awareness is huge and a good learning opportunity for the rest of the season.

Overall great fight Ags.

Like intercepting a ball downfield on forth down. It's hard to turn off the instincts.

I thought about starting this same thread, but the more I thought about it, it's probably unfair to Federiko to expect him to know the precise count on the backcourt violation.

I think you can prepare them for certain situations like "trap/steal for xx seconds then foul", but it's hard to prepare for "if the ball is still in the backcourt at 9 seconds, don't go for it and let Bama keep it"

You always go for the loose ball

Yeah, it's not like you can know they're going to tie it up, you're trying to go get a basket. Just bad luck.

this is a tough one...we were going for the ball near the paint - you come out with it and shoot and you might make it and/or get fouled - can't fault the players there. 0.1 seconds from the end of that game going a completely different direction.

Other observation - I've seen this too many times this season, and I cannot remember the clock tonight but I believe we were up 5...maybe 2:xx left in game? Pop drives the lane as fast and haphazardly as he can, turns it over...they go get 5 quick points and its tied again. I just don't understand what the freaking rush is in these situations. We drive the lane like we are desperate for something.

Well we're definitely desperate to get the shot up before anyone's bigs come swooping into block it. That happened tonight with Isaacs but also with Lane and Dibba too. Hard to complain about turnovers when we had six in the entire game and one in the second half (Dibba) and scored 1.3 points per possession in the game.

Bama had 15.2 seconds on the clock when they passed the ball in.

The jump ball is called a 5.1 seconds left

15.2-5.1=10.1 - common sense says 10 second violation

The TV clock was either wrong or something, because they did talk that over.

I think you're just trying to stay on the offensive with the lead which I'm okay with, as long as it's good shot selection. We had many late in the game that just didn't go down.
