Apparently Agee, Dominguez, Griffen, Lane, and Hill is not only a very strong team on the floor together, but also it seems very strong defensively?

It seems like we just got our doors blown off by a team no listed.

Huh? Chinyelu, Condon, Fland, Haugh, and Lee are listed, and also likely have a bigger role in Florida's success despite being less efficient because they have played way more possessions together than our five have.

Is this some kind of self flagellation? We lost a game so no positive posts allowed?

No. More wondering why UF isn't that high. I guess I don't understand the methodology.

Florida's group probably isn't higher because they've played together a lot more in some bad games earlier in the season. I think ours is probably as high as it is because that lineup missed some of our worst games of the season between Mgbako being in and Griffin being out.

I suspect you're right regarding the nuances of lineups being used by us and Florida at different stages of the season. What jumps out at me is the apparent correlation between other rankings such as Kenpon and these 5-man lineup rankings. We appear to be the outlier.

If we assume the first part is true, then it's not too far off, if you sort Torvik by games since late November then we're #17.

The other thing is because of the way we play, that lineup isn't on the floor as much as the others, it has significant fewer possessions than most of those others.

But you can tell that Bucky knows this, our whole substitution pattern is designed around making sure this group is on the court together and it's why we've been hot to start most games.

So, is the 5-man lineup only the starters. I ask because I would have expected to see several 5-man lineups for each team. For example, substituting Pop for Lane may have a 5-man lineup in the top 10 as well. There is only one entry per team from what I can gather.

Doesn't have to be starters but the 150 possessions requirement would make it fairly unlikely that a team would have two lineups on this list.

And no lineup with Pop is going to be in the top ten. Partially because he had some pretty rough games for the first half of the season and partially because he doesn't play with our better group very much.

When Pop is in, it's usually with what I call our chaos lineup.
