I knew it was going to happen but I had heard LSU was trying to wait until April 1 for a reduced buyout of McMahon. Guess they're just going forward with it.
Crazy. Frankly don't see how LSU is that better a job. And don't see how you go back there after being fired. Fired over something legal now lol.

Word from LSU media is they are either waiting for the buyout to decrease next week or for NC State to negotiate the buyout down so that they can get started with a coaching search now rather than waiting until next week if they know he's leaving for sure anyway.
They hired the former McNeese president last fall and just hired the McNeese AD to be an advisor (to basically seal the deal on him coming back).

I'm not sure Will Wade is that good a coach. Sure he will have LSU dancing. But once he gets into a real coaching battle he tends to lose.
Kind of shocked that they went back to the well, but I get moving on. Their basketball was depressing this year. The home crowd when we played there was beyond laughable.

As I posted before league was awful back then big difference but knock yourself out it's not like he's on everyone's wish list.
I don't think Will Wade is a good floor coach but he will bring big talent to lsu. He and lane kiffin on the same campus will be a handful.

Not really. We sent 7 teams to the tourney and 3 made the sweet 16: ACC had most with 4.
Kenpom has the SEC rated #1 and the ACC #4. The gap between the SEC and ACC in his metric is as large as the ACC to the Mountain West.
The ACC is good at the top, but they had 4-5 teams that would've been the worst team in the SEC this year.
For reference, the ACC had 9 teams rated worse than LSU this year.

Watching State drop 8 of their last 10 games this season, eyebrows were being raised in Raleigh. And 3 of them were full scale blowouts. He was 2-7 against ranked teams, one of the Ws against a UNC team missing their best players, and an OT win against Clemson. We'll see what the SEC thinks of him.
Well, it's alittle different now that everyone can make offers to players above table. We're going to see how good a coach Wade actually is. This SEC can chew him up and spit him out.

I think they will be flush with talent but I don't think he improved much on the sideline with Rick and Jones. Stans will help get him more quality players. This is going to be a very interesting year for LSU.
