Anybody going to be in New Orleans for the Florida game and/or know a good spot to watch the game?

If you are talking about the ATM game against Fl., there are tons of places to watch it. But I'll help you narrow it down.

Downtown: Go to "Walk-Ons" on Poydras. That's in the Central Business District. It's a sports bar, cattycorner from the superdome.

I'm sure the ATM game will be on one of the screens. Or just ask.

Now, if you're in the quarter, just stumble into any place and ask the bartender about it. Please note: The weekend of labor day in N.O. is "Southern Decadence" in the quarter. It is a gay fest. Not that there's anything wrong with it....Just know that what you see ain't what we do everyday. And if you don't like it, take a cab and tell him to take you to some good bars uptown.

forget the Quarter. go to Uptown. Safer.

The Florida game isn't labor day weekend so he will miss the Decadence....not that there is anything wrong with that.

Does that mean that both ends of Bourbon Street are to be avoided?

Ha! Just know that you'll be sure to find a bar showing your game. LSU plays Washington that weekend. That will be a snoozer, so I think it will be easy for you to commandeer a bar and its TV for your A&M game. Just be nice to the bar staff and tip well.

07, I get to NOLA at noon that day. I will repost on this thread with my viewing location. I hope to find some more Aggies and join in
