I heard that they graduated 3 of their best 4 receivers, their starting tight end, and a lot of their defense. Also, didn't they lose the guy who was expected to be their best returning receiver to legal issues?

I asked the Google machine and results were inconclusive.

On offense, lost 3 WR's and two starting OL's. On defense, lost one DE, 2 LB's and one of the safeties.

Just found a little bit of new data. They lost 3 of their top 5 tacklers. #1, #2, and #5.

They also lost a head coach who, IIRC, was responsible for most of the offensive play calling.

Like in most all 4-3 defenses...when you lose your LB's, you lose your leading tacklers!

You are correct, Petrino was the brains of that offense.

Maybe I'm taking crazy pills, but these guys don't scare me. CM gashed them for 230 last year, and we are returning 4 of 5 OL starters for a consensus Top 5 OL.

Petrino was the reason they won that game. Without his adjustments to the deep, over-the-middle passes in the second half, we win that handily.

Arkansas was missing four starters when they played last year and there didn't seem to be any gashing in the 2nd half when it mattered...JMO!

I didn't know about them missing their starters, that is interesting. Was that 4 missing defensive starters or overall? I know missing Knile Davis hurt them.

You guys do realize you also your first round quarterback and yourHead Coach and your assistant coaches and your kicking game don't you??? We have back our 1370 yard rusher, picked by some in the top 3 in the Heisman race. Arkansas is extremely deep at Reciever! The three are being replaced by guys who are just as good, just as fast, only a whole lot bigger.

Four defensive starters....both DE's and both CB's.

Before Knile Davis got hurt, I believe he was the best RB in the SEC to include Lattimore. When healthy, he is definitely in my top 3 RB's in the country.
