I go there from time to time and notice how much actual football discussion is going on. I don't see any kind of requirement to pay for "premium" info either. Perhaps the move to the SEC will encourage more discussion like they have over there.

That's because TD has squat in the area of provided content, so quality discussion happens wherever it is most convenient.
Here, the staff offers incredible amounts of excellent content. The fans who care enough to get in deep discussions are almost always the fans who are willing/able to pay, so that is where they go to discuss

TD is considered one of if not the best free team site. I don't go there much anymore because of how amazing the LSU site on 247 has become.

As someone who has spent way too much time on both, I completely agree with the OP. And, yes, I have had stars and paid for Varsity in the past.

I see far more actual football analysis on Tiger Droppings than I have on TexAgs premium/Varsity. They also have far less trash talk. You could go over there and ask their opinion about some aspect of your team and aside from a few smart a$$ comments from a couple of fans, everyone else will give you a pretty objective analysis.

I'd argue we have a larger base of posters, which increases the amount of morons posting stupid topics all day.
