Think he will actually play at LSU next year?

He has too much raw talent to stay off the field. He could have played at a lower tier school, so the only reason to stay at LSU was to get his act together and excel on the bigger stage. He played as a true freshman, so this is his redshirt year and he comes back with two year of eligibility.

Good. I hope they let him back on the team.

What are the chances he'll be back this year? According to what I heard some sportscasters say this weekend, his absence was the reason that N. Texas scored the 14 pts on them.

And how in the heck did he complete the Houston rehab program in a few weeks? Did he complete it?

The kid failed his 3rd drug test. No mention of any kind that he even had failed the first two (that I heard of). When did he fail them? During the season last year? Was he disciplined?

Now, if he sat out a year and made good grades, while completing a successful rehab (no practicing with team) then yes, give him another shot. But not until then.

he found Jesus, completed 19 hours in two weeks, washed les' car and mowed his lawn. he'll be back at some point this season.

the non-athletic side of LSU said "he is welcome to sign up for classes and pay for them on his own, but he not eligible to play football for LSU again"... I guess we will see

there is no chance he'll be back this year.

There is no chance he'll participate in spring practice.

He might be allowed back on the team next june.

A whole lot of things have to go right for him between now and then.

I love how the ticker at the bottom of my TV screen tuned to ESPN says "no word yet on whether Les Miles would consider reinstating Mathieu to the team next year".

Yes, I am sure everyone is on pins and needles wondering of Les Miles would even entertain the notion of bringing HIS HEISMAN CANDIDATE BACK TO THE TEAM TO HELP THEM WIN.
