Who's undefeated right now b!@#$? We have actually won national championships since 1939 in addition to not being completely irrelevant for over a decade now. Do you really think our guys were hyped up for that game? Watch our game versus UW when the players and fans were actually into the game.

Mike, your Tiger team has looked absolutely average in their last two games. If they keep playing like they are and A&M continues like they have been playing, I can actually see LSU coming in to Kyle Field as a 10 point dog.

I'm sorry but no reasonable person could ever think that A&M would be a 10 point favorite over LSU even at Kyle.

If we can win the next two games with authority, I see no reason why we can't go into the LSU week with some confidence and squeak out a win against them

I'm not worried because I know to throw out disappointing games against weak OOC teams. These type of games happen every year with Miles so I learned to deal with them and not freak out like most of tigerdroppings over not beating every team by 60. What I don't understand is the A&M fan base has such a huge ego after losing to the only team with a pulse that they have played this year.

BTW it's funny that you would say NC's are stupid. I guess when you haven't come close to one in your lifetime you develop these coping mechanisms.

And he was using stupid to describe your attempt to use prior success to predict the future, not the National Championship itself. That being said, 2012 is looking eerily similar to 2008.

Nowhere did I say because we have won championships recently we will win again soon. However, our players are used to playing in big time games and have high expectations, so it is not surprising that they wouldn't be pumped up for a rent-a-win. Do a little research before you compare this team to the 08 one. The 08 team had the worst defense of any LSU team in the last dozen or so years and Jarrett Lee threw 16 picks (9 returned for TD). This years team has a dominant defense and Mettenburger is better than Lee ever was. This is still at least a 10 win team not the type of team that goes 3-5 in conference.

We've averaged 7 wins? I had to look it up, but only found a wiki link, so I used our data from aggieathletics.

The average number of games played during A&M football history is 10.077 per season. We have a 57.76% winning percentage, that is wins divided by the sum of wins, losses and ties. So the true average of wins per season is 5.82.

It's difficult to analyze LSU football since I can't find year by year results for the history of the program. Let's say the number of games played per year are similar to ours, which they would be. Tigers average 6.31 wins a year.

You point me in the direction of usable data for individual yearly results, and I'll give you something to chew on.

That being said, the average games played per year and average winning% is magic math. A more accurate representation of the wins, standardizing the # of games played to 12. A&M would average 6.90 games per year. I'd probably wager the mighty Tigers are around 7.5.
