I am with Clay on this. I do not think 2 years of jail time is warranted. But it looks like they are going to make an example out of him. Yes, it was a dumb thing to do, but I think community service is a more appropriate punishment.

I've eaten at the French Quarter location but I never want to step foot inside that Krystal restaurant again. People who use the phrase, 'Any publicity is good publicity' are clearly mistaken.

Two years may seem harsh but if I were the franchise owner, I would've asked the prosecutors to drop the hammer. The man is lucky that he doesn't have to register as a sex offender. He had no defense, and any money he gave to his attorneys went completely down the drain. He was at the mercy of the courts.

I'm not up to speed with the Harvey Updike case but I hope they make an example out of him as well.
